Records

  The Clerk is the keeper of the Village Seal, Municipal records, minutes of meetings held by the board and their committees, copies of all local codes, ordinances, resolutions, Proclamations, contracts, agreements and other pertinent matters.

The Clerk prepares an agenda for all board meetings, posts and communicates the agenda according to State law.

All petitions, bids, ordinances, resolutions, court requests, freedom of information requests and other communications addressed to the corporate body shall be received by the clerk.

Licenses and Permits

All applications for licenses and permits are received by the Clerk, who shall hear, investigate, process and cause collection of the fees as set forth by local ordinance.

The Clerk also receives and processes requests for block parties, parades, appeals etc.

Voters Registration

Voters Registration is a service offered at the Clerks office During regular business hours.

Absentee ballots

 Absentee ballot applications are also available 5 weeks before an election at the Clerks Office. Persons who are unable to vote during regularly scheduled elections times may use this option to vote. Those who are physically handicapped may also arrange to vote this way. In house absentee voting is also available in the Clerk's office 3 weeks prior to the election date.
