Senior & Physically Disabled Subsidized Taxi Program

About the program
The Senior Citizen and Disabled Subsidized Taxi Program is a service of Leyden Township that responds to the transportation needs of adults 60 years of age and older, or the physically disabled who reside in Leyden Township and have no access to other forms of transportation.  The program is designed to allow seniors and the physically disabled to attend doctor and hospital appointments and to allow them to go grocery shopping and other life sustaining activities.
How the program works
Coupon books cost $10.00 and have a value of $20.00.  A coupon ($2.00 in value) is used as cash toward taxi fare.  Individuals are allowed to purchase one book per month.  Each book has an expiration date and must be used on or before that date.  No refunds or exchanges are available.  All coupons must be used with cab companies contracted by Leyden Township .  These companies are listed on the back of the coupon books.
